Diamond Mole Gameplay & Bonus Features

Diamond Mole uses a 6×6 grid with a Cluster Pays system. Unlike traditional online slots, it does not rely on fixed paylines. Instead, you need at least five matching symbols connected in a cluster to hit a win.

When a winning cluster appears, those symbols disappear. New symbols then drop into the gaps, creating multiple chances to win. These cascades continue until no further winning combinations can be made.

This slot mechanic gives each spin several chances to produce a payout. More importantly, it works alongside the game’s main feature, the Diamond Wild.

Diamond Wild Symbols and Multipliers

The Diamond Wild is the key feature in the Diamond Mole slot. It substitutes for regular symbols to help form winning clusters, but it also carries an increasing multiplier.

When a Diamond Wild lands, it stays sticky in place during the cascades. It starts with a 1x multiplier and doubles whenever it contributes to a winning cluster. Each sticky Diamond Wild multiplier can reach up to a huge 2,048x.

You can have up to four Diamond Wilds on the grid at once. If several of the wilds connect to the same winning cluster, their multipliers combine before being applied to the win. As a result, one well-placed wild can become more valuable as the action continues.

Diamond Trail Free Spins

The Diamond Trail bonus activates when you land three Scatter symbols. It awards 10 free spins, with three Diamond Wilds guaranteed on the opening spin.

These wilds remain sticky throughout the free spins feature. Each successful cascade can help build winning clusters, while increasing the multipliers on connecting wilds.

The bonus focuses on creating more chances for the Diamond Wild mechanic to develop. Still, the final result depends on the symbols that land and how they connect. The closer the Diamond Wilds land together, the higher the chances of a big win feature.

Pursuit of Diamonds Free Spins

Pursuit of Diamonds is the upgraded free spins feature. You can trigger it by landing four Scatter symbols, which awards 10 free spins.

The bonus begins with four guaranteed Diamond Wilds, each carrying a 2x starting multiplier. Like the Diamond Trail feature, these wilds remain in place throughout the bonus.

This gives the feature a stronger starting position and greater potential for combined multipliers. If several wilds contribute to repeated winning cascades, the payout can grow considerably.

Diamond Mole Bonus Buy Options

Diamond Mole also offers optional feature purchases where permitted by the casino and local rules.

The available options include Bonushunt FeatureSpins, which increases the chance of triggering a bonus game, alongside direct purchases of the two free spins features.

These options can cost several times your selected stake. Therefore, they carry extra risk and can quickly use up your bankroll.

Diamond Mole Bonus Buy Feature Costs

Bonus Hunt Feature Spins	2x your base bet
Diamond Trail Bonus Buy	150x base bet
Pursuit of Diamonds Bonus Buy	500x base bet

Visuals & Layout In Diamond Mole

Diamond Mole takes a light-hearted approach to its mining theme. The game places its reels against a natural outdoor setting, with earthy details and a playful cartoon mole character.

Diamonds and other colourful symbols provide contrast against the background, winning connections are easy to spot. Meanwhile, the 6×6 grid gives the game plenty of space for clusters to form and cascades to unfold.

The layout also keeps the main gameplay mechanic easy to follow. Diamond Wilds really stand out from regular symbols, making their positions and rising multipliers easier to track.

Rather than relying on a complex story or constant visual changes, the game focuses on its central game mechanic. The screen remains familiar during the base game and bonus rounds, allowing you to concentrate on the reels.

Overall, Diamond Mole offers a clean and comfortable looking design. Its playful visuals appeal to those who prefer a lighter playful theme, without all the additional graphic changes.

Diamond Mole Winning Potential | Max Win, RTP & Volatility

Diamond Mole combines a high maximum win with high volatility. This makes it a slot that can deliver substantial payouts, but results may fluctuate sharply.

From our experience, we have defiantly felt this high volatility through our slot testing. One of our sessions resulted in a max win and one over 1,500x win during our first 30 spins. Another session we didn’t see a free spins feature for over 300 spins, and when it finally dropped in, the result was under 40x.

Return to Player (RTP)

The default RTP is 96.31%. RTP (Return to Player). Some casinos offer alternative versions of Diamond Mole with RTP settings of 94.28% or 92.24%. Always check the information displayed in your chosen casino, to confirm which version you are going to be playing.

Diamond Mole Volatility

Diamond Mole has high volatility. This means payouts can be uneven, with smaller wins and losing spins between more substantial results.

The published hit frequency is around 44%. However, a hit does not necessarily mean a profitable spin, as a winning combination can return less than your original stake.

Therefore, we feel this slot is suited to players who enjoy chasing larger wins, rather than those who prefer frequent, steady payouts.

Maximum Win

The maximum win is 25,000x your stake. At a $1 stake, that would equal $25,000. At a 0.20c stake, it would equal $5,000.

The Diamond Wild mechanic provides the main route to larger payouts. When several sticky wilds land close together to build their multipliers, the total win can rise very quickly.

BonusReels Final Verdict On Diamond Mole

Diamond Mole by Backseat Gaming is a fun focused slot that builds its gameplay around one clear idea: sticky Diamond Wilds with doubling multipliers.

Its 6×6 Cluster Pays grid keeps the action moving quickly, while cascading wins create opportunities for the wild multipliers to grow. The two free spins features also add variety without making the rules difficult to understand.

The main attraction is the combination of a 96.31% default RTP and a 25,000x maximum win. However, the high volatility means you should expect an unpredictable experience, and the RTP can be lower at some casinos.

Our verdict: Diamond Mole is one of our top Backseat Gaming slots. It’s worth considering if you enjoy high-volatility slots with sticky wilds, cascading wins and chasing an ambitious payout potential. However, it may be less suitable if you prefer lower volatility or more varied bonus mechanics.
